New look Kids Church starting 11 Feb
We’re still on about Jesus, we’re still making new friends, and we’re still helping kids express their faith.
And we’re still marching our way through God’s big salvation plan using The Gospel Project for Kids.
So what is changing?
Kids Church classes will be in larger cohorts, with teams of leaders helping kids learn and grow in Jesus.
These groupings are:
Garden Suburb
Creche | Under 5’s | Kinder - Yr 2 | Years 3-5
City
Creche | Under 5’s | Kinder - Yr 5
Who brings what food?
Kids in Creche & U5’s
Please BYO a snack and drink for younger kids in Creche & U5’s.
School kids K - Yr 5
Don’t need to bring anything for Kids Church, they will be given a small snack and drink (GF available).
Kids with a fast metabolism might need a BYO sanga for after church.
What to expect
Read this “Going to Kids Church” Social Story if you’re coming to Lambton. It’s tricky with the different entry points and check-in locations for different ages.
Where do we go when we arrive?
Check-in opens 15min prior to the service starting, so get the kids settled, meet your friends and say ‘hi’ to someone you haven’t met yet.
Who will be leading our kids?
Teams are a mix of previous and new Kids Church and RUSH leaders, all with appropriate WWCC and Safe Ministry Screening. They’ve been working hard to make sure these new-look programs will be a load of fun and great learning about Jesus. We’ll be continuing our journey through the timeline of God’s big salvation plan in Jesus using The Gospel Project as our teaching curriculum.
We’ll all be starting Unit 30: Peter’s Ministry on Feb 11th, read all about it over at the Kids Church @ Home webpage.
Where can kids play after Kids Church that is safe?
City kids can BYO indoor activities to share together, classrooms will be available as soon as they’ve been packed up by Kids Leaders. Let’s leave the rooms clean & tidy.
Garden Suburb kids can see where the safe-play zones are on this map.
