What is this unit about?

Jesus’ early encounters with people revealed that He had come to be the Savior of all people—Jew and Gentile, male and female, rich and poor. All people have been made in God’s image and are loved by Him. This unit investigates several people whose lives were eternally changed after meeting Jesus and understanding who He is.

Why is this important for our kids?

Jesus is not just a historical figure but our saviour and redeemer - for ALL people. It can be easy for kids to become over-familiar with Jesus having learned about Him from a young age. We want to keep expanding their view and awe of Jesus, helping them understand He is their personal saviour, and the saviour of the whole world.

Big Picture Question

How do we know God loves us?
We can know that God loves us because He
gave us Jesus to forgive the sins of the world.

Key Passage/Memory Verse

But here is how God has shown his love for us.
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 NIrV
