Creative
Loving God with your whole heart craft
What you’ll need:
2 pieces of paper
Scissors
Blue tack, sticky tape, or glue
Texta
What to do:
Draw two love hearts of the same size, one on each piece of paper.
Cut one of the love hearts into puzzle pieces.
Put blue tack, sticky tape or glue on the back of the puzzle pieces.
Give your child/ren one puzzle piece. Ask whether or not we should just love God with a little of our heart.
Give your child/ren half of the puzzle pieces. Ask whether or not we should just love God with half of our heart.
Give your child/ren all of the puzzle pieces. Discuss why it’s so important for us to love God with our whole heart.
Love your neighbour craft
What you’ll need:
Colourful paper
Blue tack
What to do:
In the middle of a piece of paper draw a big love heart.
In the centre of the love heart write, “‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.”
Have your children draw the people they want to love on the outside of the love heart.
Next to each person, get your children to write how they can practically love that person.
Stick up the artwork where it will be a visible reminder of loving others.

Physical/Tactile
“Love God with all your…” throwing game
What you’ll need:
1 piece of white paper
3 containers, pieces of cardboard, rocks etc.
The following images printed and cut out
What to do:
Write “Love God with all your…” on the white piece of paper.
Stick the three images on a container, cardboard, rock etc.
Place the white piece of paper on the floor.
Stand 2 or so meters away from the paper on the floor and throw your images onto the paper, shouting out what each image says.
At the end of the game ask the children what it means to love God with all their heart and with all their soul and with all their mind.
