Creative
TP Roll King David: Put those empty rolls to good use, make King David with his ‘ruddy’ appearance using the instructions at kidsactivities.com for inspiration.
Paper Crowns: These crowns might keep the older kids occupied for a while.
Make 2 crowns, one crown smaller than the other. Draw a sword on the smaller crown and label it David. Draw a cross on the larger crown and label it Jesus. The kids can get creative and decorate the crowns.

Song: “Victory” by Hillsong College. God gave David victory in battle and made him a successful King. Jesus’ death give victory over sin.

Physical/Tactile
Build a Fort: If you’re ok with a bit of a mess this would be a fun activity. Get the kids to build a blanket fort. Teach the lesson inside the fort, and at the end of the lesson get the kids to destroy it - God giving David victory over his enemies.
The ‘Crocodile, Crocodile’ game (just for fun): a personal favourite of the Newy pm kids, could be a bit of fun for the family to get involved in after church.
Aim: for the person ‘in’ to tag everyone and for everyone else to run from one side of the room to the other without getting tapped. Have one person ‘in’ and stand in the middle of the room and everyone else line up at one end of the room Everyone chants: “Crocodile, crocodile, can we cross the river? If not, why not? What’s your favourite colour?” The person ‘in’ replies with a colour and everyone who is wearing that colour gets a free pass to cross the room. Everyone else however after the count of 3 has to run to the other side of the room trying not to be tapped. Continue until all players have been tapped.
