Bible Reference:
2 Kings 22 and 23
Lesson Aim:
To encourage the children that there were some kings who obeyed God, and to talk in particular about King Josiah and how he helped the Israelites to obey God again.
Main Message:
King Josiah pleased God and obeyed God. He read parts of the Bible to the Israelites and everyone promised to obey God.
MEMORY VERSE:
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:5-6
