Staff profiles

Greg Lee
Greg is married to Emma and they have 3 kids; James, Sophia and Amelia. Greg and Emma both come from the coast and met in their first week at University in 1991. They moved to Newcastle in 1999 and Greg became the senior pastor of Hunter Bible Church in 2000. Greg’s main roles are public Bible teaching and evangelism, praying as well as overseeing the staff and thinking through the future of Hunter Bible Church.
David Allen
Dave and Donna grew up in country towns and met when they moved to Sydney to study. They’ve been blessed with triplets (Joel, Hugh and Hannah) and Matthew. Donna enjoys gardening while Dave pretends he can renovate his old house. Dave is responsible for helping HBC engage people in the life of our church family; from embracing new people to encouraging our members to love others.
Sam Hilton
Sam is married to Prue and together they love sharing the good news of Jesus with people.  Sam became convinced that the words of Jesus were true at the age of 18 - Jesus did come so we might have “life to the full”! He is also convinced that coffee, surfing and his wife are wonderful gifts from God.  Sam is responsible for helping Hunter Bible Church to be involved in loving the people of Newcastle by speaking about Jesus and living transformed lives in the city.
Kelly Landrigan
Kelly grew up in Sydney and moved to Newcastle at the beginning of 2005 to work with Hunter Bible Church. She became a Christian when she was 19, after studying Romans and understanding that Jesus had done all that was needed, to make her right with God. She enjoys photography, knitting and riding her vespa around town. Kelly is helping support women who are leading and co-leading growth groups. She’s also helping HBC support their cross-cultural workers around the world.
Dave Moore
Dave is married to Julie and they have four kids (Jake, Mitch, Tesla and Evie) who all love chocolate and Jesus, but not in that order. Dave became Christian through a Primary School Scripture class, and Julie became Christian in first year uni. Dave is responsible for helping people find ways to serve Jesus at hbc, training them and providing resources for our various structures.
Richard Sweatman
Richard Sweatman is the husband of Jen and father of two beautiful boys:  Alex and Andrew.  Jen loves making cards while the boys go off to watch F18 Hornets from the viewing deck at Fighter World.  Richard is the HBC pastor for Maturity and Ministry and a large part of his job is coordinating HBC Growth Groups.
Pete and Liz Witt
Pete and Liz grew up in different parts of the world; Pete from Sydney and Liz from Maitland. They met at Newcastle Uni, and have lived in Newy most of the time since. Pete is our Magnification Pastor, which means that he helps us to see and express the greatness of God, and Liz looks after the church finances. Pete reckons that if he could live anywhere it would be in the ’70s, while Liz opts for the slightly more achievable Japan.
Ben Broadfoot, Andrew Horsfield and Jenny Jeffreys
Ben’s married to Katie, both of whom love living near the beach! Ben has the best job at HBC as he works to see teenagers in Newcastle come to know and follow Jesus.

Andrew is the husband of Kim and they have been blessed with three boys. Andrew looks after the childrens’ programs at HBC. His most important role is training and supporting the many people who are role models and teachers to the kids.

Jenny’s description of herself… “Saved by God’s grace, wife and mum to 2 children. Delight to open God’s word with ladies at Women’s Bible Study.”
