Ministry Training Apprentices
Hunter Bible Church believes that it’s up to us to raise up the next generation of gospel workers. For this reason we train a number of ministry apprentices in partnership with the Ministry Training Strategy (MTS). You can check out their website here: mts.com.au.
Christian men and women who have experience and gifts in ministry apply to spend two years getting hands on ministry training with the senior staff of HBC. They give up their regular jobs and are provided with a basic scholarship - some of which they raise themselves through fundraising. At the end of the two years, many will head off for further training at Bible Colleges and go on to become full time gospel workers. Some will return to the workforce and continue in ministry as much as possible. Over the last 10 years HBC has trained 15 apprentices, two of whom now work at HBC (Dave Moore and Richard Sweatman).

You can support these guys through receiving their prayer letters, praying and even giving financially. You could also follow their footsteps and investigate yourself doing MTS with HBC! Richard Sweatman oversees MTS training at HBC so contact him about anything to do with MTS.
