God’s great strategy for protecting and spreading Jesus’ gospel is by our generation helping to raise up the next generation of gospel workers.  In our particular circumstance - with so many young people coming from around NSW to study at Newcastle uni - we feel this responsibility acutely. Every year we see young men and women face the question of making full-time ministry their life-long occupation.

Its important that these men and women get the best training possible as they start down that road. For this reason we train a number of ministry apprentices in partnership with the Ministry Training Strategy (MTS). Over the last 11 years HBC has trained 27 apprentices.

This costs loads of money, as they leave the workforce and spend time reading the bible with new Christians and non-Christians, developing good ministry habits with their trainers. We honestly can’t afford to train all the great men and women coming through the years, and we’re praying that people like you would lend your support.
